We will not use information obtained through Google APIs for purposes that are unrelated to the functionality authorized by the user.

4. Google API Services and Google Business Profile Data

Quantifi Media operates integrations that may connect with Google Business Profile on behalf of authorized clients.

Quantifi Media handles information received through Google APIs in accordance with the Google API Services User Data Policy and its Limited Use requirements.

Google Authorization

A Google account user must authorize access through Google’s OAuth system or add Quantifi Media as an authorized owner or manager of a Business Profile.

Quantifi Media does not ask clients to provide their Google account passwords. Google authentication and consent are handled by Google.

The permission requested for the Business Profile integration is:

https://www.googleapis.com/auth/business.manage

Although this permission may support broader Business Profile management features, the review widget integration is designed to access only the information necessary to identify the authorized profile and retrieve its rating and review summary.

Google Information We May Access

When a client authorizes the integration, we may access or process:

  1. OAuth authorization tokens.
  2. Google Business Profile account identifiers.
  3. Business Profile location identifiers.
  4. Business name and location title.
  5. Public Google Business Profile URL.
  6. Average Google rating.
  7. Total Google review count.
  8. Limited review information returned as part of the Google Reviews API response.
  9. Technical information required to authenticate requests and maintain the integration.

The Google Reviews API may return an individual review as part of the same response containing the average rating and total review count. The live rating integration does not use or retain that individual review content unless the client has separately authorized a feature that requires it.

Curated reviews displayed within a client’s website carousel are selected or approved separately by the client. They are not automatically imported into the curated review collection through the live Google API connection.

How We Use Google Business Profile Data

Google Business Profile information is used to:

  1. Confirm the authorized account and location.
  2. Retrieve the current average Google rating.
  3. Retrieve the current total Google review count.
  4. Link website visitors to the client’s public Google Business Profile.
  5. Display the rating and review count through an authorized website widget.
  6. Maintain, troubleshoot, and secure the integration.
  7. Comply with Google’s API requirements and applicable law.

We do not use Google Business Profile data to create advertising profiles, determine advertising audiences, sell information, or market unrelated services.

Storage of Google Information

OAuth client secrets, refresh tokens, account identifiers, and location identifiers are maintained in protected server environments and are not placed within publicly accessible website code.

Short lived access tokens are used only as necessary to communicate with Google’s APIs.

The client’s website receives only the public information needed by the widget, such as:

  1. Average rating.
  2. Total review count.
  3. Public Business Profile link.
  4. The time when the rating information was refreshed.

OAuth refresh tokens, client secrets, access tokens, and private account information are not provided to the Duda website, website visitors, or the public review widget.

Temporary Caching

Quantifi Media may temporarily cache limited Google Business Profile information to improve performance, reduce unnecessary API requests, and maintain service availability.

Live rating information will normally be cached for approximately one hour. Google supplied content will not be cached for longer than 30 calendar days unless a longer retention period is required by law or expressly permitted by Google.

Cached information is not manipulated or combined to create unrelated profiles or datasets.

Sharing of Google Information

Quantifi Media does not sell Google user data.

We do not share Google Business Profile data with advertisers, data brokers, or unrelated third parties.

Google information may be processed by service providers that host or support the integration, such as secure cloud hosting providers. These providers may process information only as necessary to provide services to Quantifi Media and are subject to applicable confidentiality, privacy, and security obligations.

Public rating information may be displayed on the website of the business whose profile is connected to the integration.

We may disclose information when required by law, legal process, or a valid governmental request, or when necessary to investigate fraud, abuse, or a security incident.

Human Access to Google Information

Quantifi Media personnel will not manually access Google user data except when:

  1. The user has provided permission for support or troubleshooting.
  2. Access is necessary to investigate a security incident, fraud, abuse, or technical problem.
  3. Access is required to comply with applicable law.
  4. The information has been aggregated or deidentified and cannot reasonably identify an individual.

Access is limited to personnel who need the information to perform authorized work.

Revoking Google Access

Clients may revoke Quantifi Media’s Google access by:

  1. Removing Quantifi Media as an owner or manager of the applicable Business Profile.
  2. Revoking the application through their Google Account permissions.
  3. Contacting Quantifi Media at info@quantifimedia.com.

Revoking access may cause the live rating widget or other connected features to stop updating.

Deleting Google Information

When a client requests disconnection or ends the applicable service, Quantifi Media will remove the connection and delete the applicable OAuth tokens and stored Google account information within seven business days, unless retention is required by law, necessary for security records, or otherwise permitted by Google.

Residual information may remain temporarily in protected backups. Backup information will not be used for active processing and will be deleted according to our normal backup retention cycle.

5. Legal Bases for Processing

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, Quantifi Media processes personal information based on one or more of the following:

  1. Performance of a contract or steps requested before entering into a contract.
  2. Your consent.
  3. Our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving our business and services.
  4. Compliance with legal and regulatory obligations.
  5. Protection of the rights, safety, and security of Quantifi Media, our clients, users, and others.

You may withdraw consent when processing is based on consent. Withdrawal does not affect processing that occurred before consent was withdrawn.

7. Google Analytics

Quantifi Media may use Google Analytics to understand website activity and improve our website and services.

Google Analytics may collect information such as your Internet Protocol address, browser, device, pages visited, referring source, interactions, and approximate location.

Google Analytics information used for website measurement is separate from Google Business Profile information obtained through the authorized review widget integration. Google Business Profile data is not used for advertising personalization.

Google’s handling of Analytics information is governed by Google’s applicable terms and privacy policies.

8. Advertising and Marketing Technologies

Quantifi Media may use advertising and measurement services to understand marketing performance and deliver relevant advertisements.

These services may use cookies or similar technologies to collect website activity. You may be able to manage certain advertising preferences through your browser, our cookie controls, the Network Advertising Initiative, or the Digital Advertising Alliance.
