As the new Facebook pages experience update is given to more and more Facebook pages, there are a lot of new things people managing Facebook pages have to learn. The new pages experience brings big changes to the page design, adds a dedicated feed to your page, reworks how admins work, and much more. After you learn the basics, it’s time to dive deeper into the new pages experience and start using the best tips and tricks to get the most out of your Facebook page.

Tips for Using Your Dedicated Feed

With the new pages experience, your personal profile and business page are now completely separated. Your business page now acts as its own profile with its own dedicated feed. This means you’re able to interact as your business page with other pages and people. No more getting confused with if you’re interacting as your personal profile or business page!

To see if you’re in your personal profile or business page profile, check in the top right corner of Facebook. Look at the profile picture to see which profile you’re currently under. You can also easily see which profile you’re under by clicking on the profile picture to see if it displays your name or the business page name.

Here are some ways to interact and engage from your business page through the new pages experience:

  • Follow other Facebook pages just like how you do with your personal page
  • Like, comment, and share posts and videos through your dedicated feed as your business page
  • Easily join and interact with groups as your business page

New Actionable Insights

Under your business page profile, you’ll be able to easily see your insights and other useful information. Click on your business page name on the left side when on the homepage of Facebook, then click insights on the left. Here you’ll be able to see insights for your page overview, top post, most recent content, and audience. You can click into each one for more details.

These simplified insights will allow you to quickly see page discovery and interaction, specific posts insights, and your audience broken down by age, gender, and location. With this useful information you can decide which type of content does best on your page, how you can improve, or ways to reach more people.

Feature Your Best Content

Remember how you could only pin one post to the top of your Facebook page? With the new pages experience, now you can pin up to 6 items on your profile. When on your business page profile, you’ll see a new “Featured” section on the right. If you click manage, you’ll see what you have pinned or items you can pin. From here you can pin upcoming events, recent videos, and recent posts. You can also pin items from your Facebook page by clicking the three dots in the top right corner of a post.

Upgraded Safety

With the new pages experience comes better safety. Facebook has improved their ability to detect activity that isn’t allowed on their platform including hate speech, violence, spammy content, and impersonation. They’re also working on making verified pages with badges more visible to make it easier to identify authentic pages.

To keep your Facebook page safe, be sure to set up 2 factor authentication and review who has admin access to your page.
